Weekend Recap
Zoe brought home a sinus infection last week, and is at the end of her Z-pack. Unfortunately, Andrew and I also got sick. I thought Jax would be ok, but I have heard him coughing. In a world where parents just send their kids to school with Strep, Lice and everything else, how can we win?
Anyway, I wasn't feeling great this weekend and wanted to try and rest. Saturday I got up around 8:30, made some coffee and checked email. I started working on some blogging and jotting down some ideas for future blogs.I love being in my cozy flannel PJs and slippers when its cold outside. It had snowed maybe 5 inches and I was in no rush to get out to shovel or clean off the car. (That's just crazy.) I also tried to tidy up a bit, start laundry and get some things organized. Later in the afternoon I wanted to go to Walmart to pick up some pieces from the Flower Beauty Line (see my last post!) and also pick up some things for the house and some toiletries. It was super crowded and interesting people all around as usual. We went to dinner at Unos and then headed to Target to get a couple of things that were sold out at Walmart.
Sunday, Zoe worked on her Powerpoint presentation for her Social Studies project. Around lunch time, we headed out to Staples to get her print brochure printed and went to Friends for lunch. After lunch, we had to get home because Andrew had to see his parents to help them with some things at their house. I was really tired and wanted to take a nap, but decided against in because I didn't want to be up really late. I was supposed to go out to dinner with the girls, but our plans changed and I ended up just taking the kids over the Hogges to play and have pizza. I'm glad that they got to play with other kids because they have been at each other's throats. When I spoke to Tree she told me her kids were being the same way. Sigh. We got home a bit late for a school night, and the kids were exhausted. I missed the first half hour of Downton Abbey, but thought I would watch anyway. After the kids were in bed, I made some tea and had a few girl scout cookies. Yum!
After Downton Abbey, I did the dishes, folded some clothes and then got my things ready for the morning. I definitely needed 1 more day this weekend, but that's how I feel every weekend! At least next Monday we have off and hopefully that will be a day where we can do something fun. :)
I have also been thinking about starting a separate Beauty Blog, but I really like keeping everything here in one place. I guess I'll think about it...
