Weekend Recap

Sorry I have not been blogging. This past weekend was crazy and I am trying to catch up with posting!

My dad came to visit Saturday morning to help Jax with his Pinewood Derby car. It was great seeing him. He brought us our favorite foods from the Filipino store too! We had a nice breakfast and then worked on the cars after. Here is a picture of Grandpa and Jax working on the wheels.

Late last week, we decided to have a really small Superbowl Party, with just 4 families coming- and of course we were not prepared at all. Starting Friday, we were going crazy getting everything ready. We were shopping, cleaning and doing everything right up until the party started. Friday at lunch I went with Jen to the party store to pick up a Superbowl table cloth, platter and chip bowl. I also started menu planning, and we stopped at storage to pick up Andrew's Superbowl gear, which included things like football crock-pots and toothpicks with footballs on them. LOL! I started cleaning on Friday and also grouted the bathroom floor. (What else do you do on Friday night?) 

Saturday I was up early to clean, and get things ready for Andrew to bring some things to storage. (I also had to jump on a webinar for work at 9AM to make sure everythnig was working properly.) Andrew was the star of the Superbowl party, doing all the shopping. He went to the liquor store, Target, 2 grocery stores on Saturday and 1 on Sunday, and BJs to grab everything we needed. This was shopping not only for the party, but our general weekly shopping as well. He was bringing in boxes, groceries and chairs in the cold and snow. (And a huge football balloon!)

Sunday I was pretty tired of cleaning, but I kept going, taking care of the fish tanks, and dusting and changing all the wallfllowers in the house. I put the meatballs in the crock-pot early on Sunday and also made the chili (Zoe helped!) around 10 that morning and stuck that in the crock-pot as well. Everyone brought great food and it was just a lot of fun. Here is a pic of Maddie, Andrew and Everly! <3 br="">
