May: We bought a house, I turned 40

This was a crazy month. On the last day of April, we closed on our house and since then, we have not stopped. Getting the house ready, painted, planting, mowing, raking, packing, unpacking, trips to home depot- all while working, going to school and clubs, plays, etc.

I have never been so tired, and I have never felt so happy.


I started this in May, finished in July. LOL!

Summer came fast and I can't believe that it has been 3 months since we have been in our house. We just love it and the cats do too! They have so much room to roam and explore. Wide window ledges and places to play. For some reason, they love the crawl space and the garage!

Most of the spaces are decorated except for the family room (Andrew's room) downstairs. I am collecting all his sports items so I can figure out how to display everything!

Everyone has been such a huge help and it is such a blessing to have the best family and friends around. From painting to moving, to emptying storage units, to getting rid of vines and poison ivy, landscaping more painting, putting together grills, I have had so much help and I feel just so incredibly lucky and fortunate.

Tito Nonong did a house blessing last Friday and it was so nice. Having my parents with me really raised my spirits. We had a great time doing things around the house. We power washed both the patios and the sides of the house, removed vines and weeded garden beds. There were a lot of laughs of course, and I just feel so much better when they are there. I always wish they could stay longer.

Zoe had a sleepover a few weeks back and it was so fun to hear the kids talking about how cool our house was. I just love the paint, the rugs, the wood and the decor. I am also adding more to my plant collection! There are so many windows and places for plants. I love all the new varieties and love taking care of them.

2. I just had to purchase Zoe's SENIOR photos
3. Zoe is touring Villanova today
4. There is poison ivy in our yard
5. Violet is currently our bedroom cat
6. Draco ate a hole in our bedsheet on the pull out bed
7. I have the best parents in the world
8. I don't think I have had so many people over for BBQs in the last 3 months than I have had in the last 8 years!
9. I always want to be at home
10. Daisy has been eating (Sneaking) a lot of people food!
11. I am also currently obsessed with Oreo Blizzys
12. Andrew has joined me in rewatching Gilmore Girls and Switched at Birth, the 2 series I am able to organize, clean and gather donations too because I have watched them already
13. We can watch Netflix on regular cable and it is awesome.
14. Zoe is going to Canada soon and flying for the first time by herself.
