TGIF & eyebrows.

Yay! An eyebrow post! I posted this photo below and wanted to post about how much I love eyebrows. Weird? Maybe. But it's Friday, so let's just go with it.

In high school I would look through beauty magazines and see these girls with great eyebrows. My mom was never into beauty or fashion, so I couldn't really go to her for help. I took a pair of tweezers from the bathroom and started plucking away, trying to create that beautiful arch that all the models had in the magazines. I think the look back then was pretty thin, shaped brows- far from the full, shaped brow that is in today.

For Zoe, who is now 14, I just hung out and waited until she asked me about make-up and grooming. She came to me and asked about her eyebrows, and said they were too bushy. I said, "You know, if we start grooming your eyebrows now, its a commitment, and I will have to do this every couple of weeks." She was ok with it and I was excited! I just wanted to clean up her eyebrows and give them a little shape, so this was the before and after. She was so happy about her new brows!

Unfortunately for me, the years of over plucking when I was younger took a toll. I tried to grow out as much as I could, but use all the Anastasia products below to fill in any sparse areas and shape them. Zoe says I should start a YouTube channel because of all the makeup and nail polish I have. She said, "Like the ones you watch in the bathroom when you are doing your makeup!" "I'll think about it," I told her. She is just getting interested in some light makeup now, just powder really, She told me that most of her friends wear full makeup, like foundation. I can't imagine wearing foundation when I was 14! Times have changed. When she is ready, though, I will be too! :)
