Friday:
I worked half day so I could go to DMV and get my driver's license renewed because it was expiring on 5/11! Andrew then took me to Panera for some birthday lunch, and then we went to do a little shopping, then head to staples to pick up the banner for the family retreat, then finally home. Amy and Justin met us there and had their lunch while we hung around and caught up until Andrew went to get the kids from school. The kids spend the night with Jon and his mom and also were going to be there with her while we were at the retreat.I guess it was just cool timing, but my place went officially on the market on my birthday. We were getting ready to go to Ruth's Chris for dinner when my realtor told me that someone wanted to see it on Saturday! So not bad, on the market on Friday, show on Saturday, lol!
We went to dinner and it was fantastic. I mean, wow! The food was amazing, the company was amazing and it was a nice end to my birthday. I loved how they put confetti on the table because it was my birthday! I had the filet with crab cake and asparagus, and a baked potato. My birthday dessert was bread pudding! YUM! After dinner, Amy and I worked on making the house picture perfect! I went to bed at around 1:30 and got up early Saturday to continue cleaning and then get ready to leave because we were going to our family retreat.
Saturday:
Up early and cleaning! Amy and I left the vacuuming and other things until the morning. Of course we kept seeing little things to do, but we made a great team and got everything done. We were about 45 minutes late to the retreat, but so was my cousin Regi, we got there at exactly the same time! For about 4 hours we sang, with hand motions, reflected, repeated, sang, prayed, cried and all that jazz. There was mass and it was nice. I was exhausted and maybe a bit depressed.Aileen and Dan were coming over for brunch the next day so we went to the grocery to pick up some yummies. We were just exhausted so we had left overs for dinner and crashed.
Sunday:
Slept in a tiny bit and got ready. Amy and I ran to DD to get some donuts and other things before she had to leave for brunch with Justin's family.A and Dan came over and we made a nice spread of food. Eggs, Bacon, Pork Roll, English muffins, regular muffins, fruit, potatoes, and yummy lattes and coffees from the Keurig Vue. Sammy was with them, so it was fun playing with Sammy and catching up with A and Dan.
After they headed home, Andrew also had to leave to go see his family. Eventually Reg came over and we went to the tennis courts to try hitting. It was really windy, so we probably wouldn't be able to hit too well, but the kids had a great time and my foot held up. It was really the first time doing anything sports like in a really really long time. After hitting, we headed over to Panera for some lunch. When we got home, all the kids played their games on the Wii like usual while I got some stuff done. He left around dinner time and the start of the Once Upon a Time Season Finale. The kids were so excited for it all weekend! It was a nice weekend and I'm still really tired. I feel like I need a whole day to sleep just to catch up! :)
