Saturday:
Zoe and I were up early. I had to drop her off at a church in Southampton because she was chosen to sing with the Pennsylvania Youth Chorale. On the way back home, I saw a Starbucks and got a Hazenut Macchiato! Yum. Zoe was going to be there from 9 until the concert at 4. I had some anxiety leaving her at a place I wasn't familiar with, but her good friend was there with her and that made me feel more at ease. I can't let my anxiety stop her from experiencing new things and making new friends, but it is something I always struggle with. Here she is looking adorable at the concert.
Shortly after I got home, it started raining, then snowing! I got some cleaning done, and a lot of laundry. Jax was cleaning his room and watching tv. I checked outside again around 2:45 and it started hailing! We left pretty early to make sure we were able to get good seats. The concert was really wonderful. I am so proud of Zoe for learning all the songs and choreography in such a short time. :) I put some clips together from the concert. Look at how wonderful she is!
After the concert, we went to the grocery store to get some things for dinner. We decided on stew! I used this recipe from Paula Deen. The only thing I would do differently next time is add a cup of beef stock and use brown gravy, or au jus powder mix instead of the cornstarch.
