Catch up!

Wow! It has been too long since I have posted. I've been so busy with house hunting and moving/packing/getting the house ready, that I haven't had too much time. I'm glad to say that in the past weeks I have been "forced" to enjoy some of my summer. There have been many unplanned gatherings/dinners/lunches/sleepovers that have been so much fun for the kids and for me too. The picture above was from bowling/arcade night. This summer has been flying by. I'm trying to spend as much time doing fun things with the kids before they go see my family in August.

This morning after I got out of the bathroom I found Zoe pulling Jax's legs and Jax was crying. When I asked what was wrong, he said, "Zoe is trying to wake me up, and all I want to do is sleep sooooo bad!" and he was crying and crying. I held him close and told him it was ok, and that I felt EXACTLY the same way! He was so sweet. He usually does not get up that early, but I had to drop them off with Andrew.

I can't believe how big they are getting. Zoe is going to be in 6th grade. I can't believe it! She is just such a wonderful little lady and I can't express how proud I am of both my kids.

I ordered their new backpacks for school yesterday and they picked everything themselves without my help. I remember bringing the catalog out to lunch one weekend and they circled all the bags they liked and then narrowed down the lists. Jax did NOT want his name on his backpack this year, but he was OK with initials. :) He picked a bag that had patches on it, I think maybe because it looks like a boyscout bag? It's very cute. Zoe picked a teal bag.
