North Carolina Trip!

Thursday morning we left for NC. Andrew had only had 2 hours sleep because he had deadline for a report and the magazine. The drive was pretty fast and painless. There was a lot of construction but we made due. The kids stayed occupied with all the technology we brought - 2 Portable DVD players, 2 DSI, and a nook.

The first night we just had dinner and went to bed. Friday morning, we all had breakfast at Mom and Dads and Amy, Andrew, Matthew and I went out for a day of shopping and Starbucks! We then all had dinner at home and just hung out. It was great just spending time with the fam. (And the animals!)

Saturday was the day of the big Chicken BBQ competition. We also took the time to play some tennis! It was pretty hot, but everyone was playing really well. We had a doubles game with an alternate just in case we got hot. (And boy was it HOT)After that, it was time for showers and then prep for the BBQ Chicken off.

The night ended with some rockband. Perfect! Sunday morning we all went to cracker barrel for breakfast and then packed to head home. It was too short, but it was an amazing time!
