Beach Day!

What an amazing day last Saturday! Sorry I am late on posting, but things have been so hectic. We have been trying to take the kids to the beach this summer, but when we tried, something came up, or it rained! We decided to take the kids last weekend. We remember being at the beach around the same time a couple of years ago for Ange's wedding and remember that it was great because it was less crowded, but the weather was still decent.

We left here around noon (A lot later than we had planned, but we took it easy in the morning.) We baked cinnabons for breakfast and took time to pack. We didn't tell the kids we were going to the shore until the day before so they were super excited!

We made great time, about an hour, and the kids took a nap, so that was nice too. Zoe had a hard time falling asleep because she said she was too excited!






We got to the beach and the kids right away wanted to be near the water. Zoe went to get her feet wet right away, and Jax started collecting all the shells, feathers and everything else he could grab and started making a pile.





Even though it was chilly and breezy, those kids were in the water!







We took a break to have some lunch, shop, play games and have some ice cream on the boardwalk.

After that, we stopped at the Point Pleasant Aquarium, where it was penguin day! We saw a small Penguin parade and looked at all the exhibits. It was a cute small aquarium!







We left when it got dark, then headed to Jackson for some shopping at the outlets. We were all exhausted, but happy when we got home.
