Our vacation has begun! Our flight to NC was this morning, and went really well! Above are snaps of the kids having breakfast at the airport. After surveying the choices, I was lured to the Chickie and Pete's Restaurant, where the bacon, egg and cheese sandwhich was calling my name... but I was forced to decline when I thought about it a little more, and thought, this sandwhich will make me 8 buck poorer, 5 lbs. fatter, and my tummy would be upset through the flight. I opted for a pastry = 2 bucks + only 2 lbs. LOL.

On the plane, I started reading the skymall catalog. Bad idea. I'm not sure if it was the air being circulated in the plane, or lack of sleep, but I managed to talk myself into how having a $200 mini-doughnut maker and fryer would be a good idea. (How is that a good idea?)
The flight was good and easy. The kids watched TV shows on the iPod, had pretzels and sprite for their snack and were happy as can be. We were in the air for only 50 minutes and arrived 20 minutes early. We only waited 15 minutes or so before A picked us up curbside. Jax had to use the facilities, so we decided to stop by the Crabtree Mall in Raleigh. Great mall! (I mean, PF Changs, Cheesecake Factory, Apple Store and Aveda good.) I noticed how people in Raleigh were much different than in Greenville. They seemed "normal." I don't know if that will make sense to everyone, but Amy and Aileen understood what I meant. I felt more at ease with the people there. Anyhoo. We stopped by the Sanrio store, and then got some lunch in the food court. We drove an hour and a half to CMI where we saw the rest of the family. (Don't tell TL, but we stopped at Starbucks too! Shhhhh! ;p ) We stayed at CMI for a bit, (and I worked a bit! yikes!) Then, back to A's and threw some burgers and dogs on the grill. Right now, the kids and Marky are playing Wii and I am here blogging. I need to sleep! I am exhausted. I am not sure what we are doing tomorrow yet, but I will try and post again.
